Paul, anyone?

*tickles the community*

Already posted over on fregg_love but thought I'd take the liberty of creating a Paul post over here too. :) So, thoughts? Feelings? Slash?

Has anyone written Paul fic as yet? I haven't seen any, but I'm hardly eagle eyes.

Ah, I also did a spoliery (cut, of course) squee post over on my LJ Right Here - the short version is I adored it and find it fun and slashy, though lacking Edgar goodness.
Title: It Takes All Kinds
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Characters/Pairing: Various, Nicholas/Danny
Rating: R (mostly for language)
Notes: mushroom18 wanted to know what the rest of Sandford thinks. I promised a snippet. This is more like a collection of snippets all strung together. There are a few voices missing, like Walker and the Turners, but I'm about to leave for a long weekend in Stratford-Upon-Avon and my brain's quickly shutting down. I hope I've included a varied enough sampling! I tried to push a bit outside of Sandford, even.
Summary: Perception is half the battle.

(It Takes All Kinds)
Title: Just Like Home
Fandoms: Good Omens / Hot Fuzz
Rating: PG-13
Characters & Pairings: Ensemble Cast, all the shades of Aziraphale/Crowley & Nicholas/Danny you care to read, etc.
Notes: This fine mess is a long time coming. My headspace is multi-trauma central right now, so my hope is that combining my two biggest comfort-fandoms will bring some relief. Special thanks to squeeful, miss_morland, and annlarimer for being particularly evil enablers. Not that I need much enabling.
Summary: The Lower Tadfield Police Station needs inspecting. Any questions?

(Fortunately, the drive was only going to take an hour and a half.)
Title: Proper Action (and Shakespeare)
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Pairing: Nicholas/Danny
Rating: R
Notes: There's a sliver of lost time between Nicholas and Danny leaving the Romeo & Juliet venue's pub and when we see Nicholas awakened by (presumably) Fisher's phonecall in his hotel room. Thinking about that led to an isolated snippet that, once I'd written it down, seemed like a good starting-point for a slightly longer piece. Enter sleeplessness, wine-imbibing, and a stroll down memory lane with some of the Bard's other classics - and, if necessary, reinterpretations thereof. Voilà. My apologies to Dire Straits, to whom, unlike HF's fearless director, I cannot afford to pay royalties for making use of lyrics from their "Romeo and Juliet."
Summary: An homage to what proper action is - or isn't - about.

(Proper action and...)

Screencaps?

I can't screen cap with my computer, so I was wondering if anyone knows somewhere where (if anywhere) there are screencaps from the blooper reel of Hot Fuzz, (especially the extremely slashy bits when Simon and Nick are all over each other). That could make for some seriously glorious iconage.
Title: Tokens of Affection
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Pairing: Nicholas/Danny
Rating: R
Notes: I'm relatively new to this fandom, but loving every minute of it - so thanks, panjianlien, for providing me with such a fantastically open-ended Yuletide request on which to continue cutting my teeth!
Summary: Gifts, white lies, and other assorted romantic holiday mayhem.

"Staring Right Back" - Nicholas/Danny - R

Title: Staring Right Back
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Pairing: Nicholas/Danny
Rating: R
Notes: This is a companion piece to Eye of the Beholder. Enough said. The requests for Nicholas's POV were resounding, and I'm still on bed-rest. It's a win-win situation.
Summary: What bothers Nicholas is - well, you'll find out.

(Staring Right Back)
Title: Eye of the Beholder
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Pairing: Nicholas/Danny
Rating: PG-13/Rish
Notes: I was talking to goddessdster last week, and one of the topics that came up was the tendency for some people in fandom to slight characters like Danny on account of their size. A couple of days later, I taught a seminar session on Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, the theme of which, this being a literature course, was the concept of the narrative gaze. Later on, I got to thinking about Danny and Nicholas in context as viewed objects: while Danny occasionally catches flak in the form of size-ist insults from Wainwright and Cartwright, Nicholas is the one most constantly viewed as some kind of freak. It's as if Danny is on the whole accepted for who and how he is by his community, whereas it takes a skinny health-nut like Nicholas to actually raise eyebrows. Danny's the only one to accept him as he is. It's no big thing that Nicholas is not into eating the cake and ice cream every single time it's offered, etc. This is what I've been scribbling in bed when I'm coherent. I'm considering a counterpoint piece from Nicholas's point of view, because who knows how long this flu will last.
Summary: Nobody seems to look at Nicholas as the sum of his parts.

(Eye of the Beholder)
Title: A Thousand Miles
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Pairing: Nicholas/Danny
Rating: R
Notes: After two over-10k-word hauls, my mind's slowly recovering. I've had The Proclaimers' "I'm Gonna Be" in my head for days on end, and I realized a couple days ago that I would desperately love to see a Hot Fuzz fanvid to the song. As tied up as it is in Benny & Joon, there's something weirdly perfect about it in the case of Nicholas and Danny. This story premise is the fusion of an early one that I didn't write and a breath of fresh imagery that's come of listening to the song.
Summary: Distances aren't always a means of separation.

(When I wake up...)
Title: All Bets Are Off
Fandom: Hot Fuzz
Characters & Pairing: Ensemble, Nicholas/Danny
Rating: R (language and references)
Notes: Just a little follow-up to Your Wildest Dreams. I'm a nosy git and want to know what happens the next morning, so I'll assume that you guys are, too. The primary aim of this piece is humor, so POV rotates around the station, as it were. I wanted some practice getting into the others' heads.
Summary: Nobody tells me nothing.

(The rotten thing about getting home from holiday was, you were always farther outside the loop than you were when you left.)
